Premier Inn To Open On South Great Georges Street
New Dublin City Centre Hotel
Dublin, September 2018 - CBRE Hotels announced the successful letting to Premier Inn for a new hotel at South Great Georges Street Dublin 2.
Planning permission was recently granted by Dublin City Council to Grosam Properties, a joint venture between Warren Private and Greenleaf Group, for the conversion of the landmark building at the intersection of South Great Georges Street and Stephen Street to a 97- bedroom hotel to the expanding UK budget hotel chain. The proposes development will also include available retail units which will generate keen interest from tenants.
The long vacant building formerly owned by Dockrell’s occupies a prominent trading position in Dublin city centre. The property is located on South Great George's Street, just off Dame Street and close to Grafton Street, Trinity College and convenient to a host of tourist attractions including Dublin Castle and Christchurch Cathedral. The property is located in the principal entertainment area of the city, adjacent to the hugely successful and vibrant Temple Bar area. The combination of bars, nightclubs, restaurants and theatres in this area is a major draw for tourists to experience Dublin hospitality at its best.
The new hotel will be Whitbread owned Premier Inn’s first site in Dublin city centre. The hotel brand has one other hotel open in Ireland and located near Dublin Airport. Whitbread confirmed the new hotel would include Premier Inn’s in-house
