New Director, Tim MacMahon Appointed To CBRE’s Expanding Development Land & Consultancy Division
Dublin, 16th February 2016 – CBRE Ireland, part of the world’s leading global real estate provider, has appointed Tim MacMahon as Director to its Development Land & Consultancy division. Tim will be concentrating on maximizing the value of CBRE’s client’s development landholdings in the Dublin based team, led by Wesley Rothwell, Executive Director, through the sale or acquisition of both commercial and residential development / redevelopment opportunities.
During his career to date, Tim has advised on investment strategy, structured deal funding / forward funding, site assemblies, sales and marketing strategies, joint ventures and mixed use integration working with high profile clients including Abbey Plc, Bennett Properties, Viridis Real Estate, Bank of Ireland, Standard Life in addition to a number of individual / private High Net Worth’s and Family trusts.
Having commenced his career in London in 2002 with the then leading UK retail practice, Dalgleish before moving to CBRE (following its buyout of Dalgleish) in 2005, Tim returned to Dublin in 2007 to join Allen &Townsend where he focused on the acquisition of development land and commercial investments. He co-founded founded Bagnall Doyle MacMahon following a merger with Bagnall & Associates in 2012.
Tim graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate and qualified as a chartered surveyor in April 2005. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.
Tim’s reputation speaks for itself. He brings with him strong relationships with developers, house builders, banks and funding institutions across both the UK & Ireland that I believe will add further strength to the team and broaden our offering to the benefit of our property company, private equity group and developer clients.
Tim couldn’t be joining us at a better time – as we believe that the growth levels of transactional activity volumes and the uplift in development land values experienced last year will continue into 2016. In addition, following a particularly strong end to the year, with our successful completion of the €503 million Project Clear loan sale - the largest single land sale ever to transact in the Irish market, clearly demonstrating strong market appetite – we’re predicting a busy year ahead.
This new role will allow me to use the knowledge and experience I’ve built up over the last 15 years to help unlock significant opportunities for CBRE Ireland’s Development division. I am delighted to be joining Wesley and the team and look forward to further adding to the company’s existing reputation for being a market leader in its field.
