Francis Street Redevelopment Opportunity

Dublin, 25 October 2016 – CBRE have been instructed to offer a redevelopment opportunity on Francis Street, Dublin 8, measuring approximately 0.02 hectares (0.05 acres), to the open market by way of Private Treaty. The property, which previously traded as the Barley Mow pub, sits on the corner of Francis Street and Mark’s Alley West. Now derelict in nature the property represents an opportunity to redevelop the asset to accommodate either commercial or residential uses (SPP).

The property, zoned Z4 – "To provide for and improve mixed services facilities" under the Dublin City Development Plan 2011 – 2017 is also located within the key development area of the Digital Hub/The Liberties. Interested parties may look to accommodate a retail element on the ground floor while residential/ancillary uses may be provided overhead. Alternatively, interested parties may look to restore the property to its original use and provide a gastro pub.

CBRE are quoting a guide price of €225,000 for the entire property.

Peter Garrigan, Senior Surveyor, Development Land
We envisage this asset with appeal to a variety of parties including residential investor and commercial operators, due to its proximity to Dublin city centre, the Iveagh Market and the rejuvenated Liberties area.
