London, 7 April 2009 – CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has been named to the BusinessWeek 50 – that publication’s list of best performers across all industries – for the third year in a row. BusinessWeek annually selects 50 best-in-class companies that represent the top performers in each of the 10 industry sectors that comprise the Standard & Poors 500. CBRE was ranked #25 on the 2009 list, and is the only commercial real estate company to earn a place on this year’s BusinessWeek 50.

Companies were chosen for the BusinessWeek 50 list, published in the issue dated 6 April 2009, based on key performance metrics, such as average return on capital and revenue growth as well as success in changing “the rules of engagement” in their industries.

“This prominent and independent recognition of our business performance is testament to CB Richard Ellis’ market-leading status not only in the real estate industry but across all industries, demonstrating our position as one of the world’s leading professional services firms,” said Mike Strong, Chairman of CB Richard Ellis for the EMEA region.

“The BusinessWeek 50 represents the ‘best of the best’, and we are proud to be included once again among the elite in the business world. Our position as the only commercial real estate company on this prestigious list underscores the value of our relentless focus on client service, the power of our global service offering, and the ability of our professionals to respond to the most challenging economic environment in decades,” said Brett White, president and chief executive officer of CB Richard Ellis.

CB Richard Ellis represents 88 of the FORTUNE 100 companies and offers an unrivaled suite of commercial real estate services on a global basis. The company was responsible for more than $138 billion of property sales and lease transactions in 2008, and managed more than 2.2 billion sq. ft. (including properties managed by affiliates) of commercial properties and corporate facilities as of December 31, 2008.

Commenting on CB Richard Ellis’s inclusion on the BusinessWeek 50, Guy Hollis, Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis in Ireland said, “This accolade confirms that our business – both in Ireland and abroad – has been able to adapt to the current market situation and excel within it. While the recession continues and both the commercial property market and the wider economy continue to decline, it’s obvious that recently the rate of decline has slowed or perhaps stabilized. We may be nearing an end to the downward spiral and, as our place on the BusinessWeek 50 confirms, CB Richard Ellis is in the best position to react globally to the changing marketplace.”

Earlier this year, CB Richard Ellis was named to Fortune magazine’s annual roster of the “Most Admired Companies” in the U.S. real estate industry and the Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine’s 2009 list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens in the U.S.
