Buoyant Activity in the Dublin Industrial Market in the First Nine Months of 2015

Dublin, 6th October 2015 – Commercial property consultants CBRE Ireland today released statistics on the volume of industrial & logistics property sales and lettings completed in the Dublin market in the first nine months of the year. According to CBRE, there has been a strong volume of activity in this sector of the property market during Q3 bringing take-up in the first nine months of 2015 to more than 310,000 square metres - almost on par with the record volume of take-up in this sector in the entire year in 2014.

Jarlath Lynn, Associate Director - CBRE Dublin Industrial Agency
Q3 was another active quarter in the Dublin industrial market with a total of 46 individual transactions signing in the period. As a result of a number of large sales that completed recently, sales accounted for 76% of industrial transactions in Dublin in Q3 with lettings comprising the remainder.  We are now on course for record performance in this sector in 2015 with take-up in the year-to-date almost matching the volume for the entire year last year. This quarter has also seen upward pressure on prime industrial rental values which are now up 12% year-on-year to approximately €72.50 per square metre.
