55 Commercial Property Investment Transactions Totalling More Than €735 Million Completed During Q1

Dublin, 4th April 2016 Commercial property consultants CBRE Ireland today released statistics on the volume and value of commercial investment sales in the Irish market in the first three months of 2016, showing that a total of 55 properties (with a value of more than €1 million), totalling more than €735 million between them, sold in Ireland during the first three months of 2016.

According to Marie Hunt, Executive Director and Head of Research at CBRE Ireland, demand for prime commercial property investments has continued unabated in the first quarter of 2016 with three transactions of more than €50 million signing in the first quarter of the year, 6 transactions of between €20 million and €50 million and 3 transactions of between €10 million and €20 million completing in the the first 3 months of the year.

There were 43 transactions extending to between €1 million and €10 million completed in the Irish market in Q1 2016 which demonstrates the appetite for smaller lot sizes.

The largest transaction to sign in the period was the Whitewater Shopping Centre in Newbridge, Co. Kildare which traded in recent months for a price in the order of €180 million.
